Apple Vision Pro headset will be subject to severe restrictions outside the US

Recently, pre-orders for Vision Pro from Apple began to be accepted. There are so many people who want to buy a gadget delivery date has already been moved to March. However, if preliminary insider data is to be believed, the company’s shares are low. It was previously reported that Apple plans to sell only 60,000 to 80,000 units of the Vision Pro headphones at launch and then gradually increase the supply over time. So the company is probably artificially extending the delivery date to have time to produce new headphones.

What is the diffrence?

You can pre-order the headset outside the US, but not everyone will be able to take full advantage of all the features the Vision Pro has. This means that the Vision Pro user experience will vary from customer to customer. The company explained several reasons why there are restrictions in other regions:

  • Vision Pro only supports English (US) for typing, Siri, and dictation.
  • A US Apple ID is required for purchases in the Apple Music and TV apps.
  • The Zeiss company accepts orders only with a prescription from American ophthalmologists.
  • Restricting access to certain programs in other countries.
  • Lack of Apple support in regions outside the US.

While these limitations will undoubtedly impact the overall user experience, Apple would be wise to expand the headset’s availability in more regions. The company has already announced that Vision Pro will be available in other regions in the coming months. Canada and Great Britain will potentially be the first two English-speaking countries. It is unknown how the situation will develop further.

For those who pre-order, the headset will be available on February 2. However, journalists and critics are currently recommending that customers outside the US take their time with the purchase and wait for the new product to receive full support in the desired region.
