According to @digitalchatstation, the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 48-megapixel 1/1.14-inch Sony IMX903 dual-layer transistor main sensor. With 14-bit ADC and DCG support, this camera offers better image quality than its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The individual sensor is completed by a fiberglass lens module 1MG+7P.

Continuing its commitment to advanced photography, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will include a periscope telephoto lens. But this innovation is associated with a change in design, as the curvature of the edges of the screen increases, so that it resembles a thin curve of the same depth.

Additionally, Ming-Chi Kuo’s speculations suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro series may use hybrid 1MG+7P fiberglass modules. The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to have a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max variant is expected to have a larger 6.9-inch display.

Ming-Chi Kuo highlights a major imaging upgrade for the iPhone 16 Pro with dual 48 MP sensors and a 12 MP telephoto lens, a first for Apple. The iPhone 16 Pro may feature a 120mm quad-prism telephoto lens, the same as the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The front cameras of the iPhone 17 series models will be updated and equipped with a 24 MP sensor and 6P lens.

Apple plans to introduce a new camera button, codenamed Nova, specifically for video recording. Using capacitive buttons and force sensing features, this button is in line with Apple’s commitment to improving the quality of video recording.

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will maintain the premium titanium 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) structure of the iPhone 15 Pro while maintaining its stylish and durable appearance. Although overall design changes are minimal, Apple may offer new color options.

In terms of performance, Ming-Chi Kuo and Jeff Pu expect the A18 Pro chip, Wi-Fi 7 support, and the integration of the Qualcomm Snapdragon X75 modem, which offers 7.5 Gbps 5G download speed. In particular, it is said that the series will have a 3,355mAh graphene-based battery and a new battery design that will potentially enable 40W wired charging.

As Apple continues to push the boundaries of smartphone technology, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is set to set new standards in terms of camera features and overall performance.
