Sherry Huawei P70 is the company’s new smartphone series, and details about these devices are slowly emerging. Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster, has shared more information about the upcoming smartphones.
According to the leak, Huawei is testing two screen options for the P70 series: 6.5 inches and 6.8 inches. Both sizes are expected to feature 2.5D curved design with 1.5K resolution and LTPO refresh rate technology for smooth visuals. The bezels are also rumored to be impressively thin.
A preliminary report suggests that the series’ camera system Huawei P70 will also achieve significant improvements. It is expected to include the Omnivision OV50H sensor with variable physical aperture. Launched in January 2023, Omnivision OV50H is a high-resolution 50MP sensor for premium smartphones. With a 1/1.3-inch sensor and 1.2-micron pixel size, it is expected to deliver excellent photos in low light.
The sensor supports various HDR modes, high frame rates, and advanced features such as 8K video recording and 4K video with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The Huawei P70 series is also expected to have a unique rear camera design consisting of three lenses arranged in a triangle shape. The device will also be branded as Huawei XMAGE.
In addition to these camera improvements, the series is expected to receive a 5,000mAh battery and dual stereo speakers with receiver. As mentioned in an earlier leak, the base model is likely to run on the Kirin 9000S chip. Rumors suggest that the release date could be late March or early April 2024.
