Earlier today, OnePlus released the first major update for the OnePlus 12. We also reported that OnePlus TV Q1 received a surprise Android 11 update yesterday. Now this time, there is another good news for OnePlus Open users. The brand’s first foldable device was launched last October with Android 13 pre-installed out of the box. After three months, the device is finally getting Android 14. In recent months, OnePlus Open has received several updates aimed at improving security and performance.

OnePlus Open receives Android 14 update

OnePlus announced on its official community forum that OxygenOS 14 is now live on OnePlus Open. However, it is distributed only in India. Additionally, the brand says that this is the first time it has been released to users who participated in the Closed Beta and Open Beta versions. The update is currently being rolled out in phases. Therefore, it takes time to reach all open volumes. OnePlus confirmed that the update will be distributed to users in other regions via OTA packages.

Android 14, based on the OxygenOS 14 update for OnePlus Open, has build number CPH2551_14.0.0.400(EX01) in India. To update to the latest version, users must confirm that their phone is running on a detectable version of CPH2551_13.2.0.301. Those who do not receive the update notification can check it manually by going to Settings > About Device > tapping Update > selecting the icon in the top right corner > Beta Testing Program > following the app instructions > “Check for updates”.

OnePlus warns that users should ensure that the battery level is above 30 percent and that at least 5GB of storage is available on OnePlus Open.
