Coolpad has launched a new functional mobile phone called Golden Century Y60. What makes this phone special is that it combines 5G with a classic keyboard. The phone is designed primarily for the elderly.

Golden Century Y60 stands out with its 3.5-inch touch screen and classic nine-key numeric keyboard. The back of the device is gold and the front is black. The dimensions of the phone are 146 mm long, 61.5 mm wide and 12.5 mm thick, and its weight is 176 g.

Under the hood, the phone runs on an octa-core processor and supports 5G connectivity that provides high-speed Internet. The operating system is Android-based CoolOS 3.0 and includes several features designed for older users.

These features include an artificial intelligence voice assistant, one-touch SOS emergency button, flashlight, speakerphone and voice notifications for incoming calls. Users can also switch to a simplified mode that offers larger fonts and icons and increased volume, making the phone easier to navigate and use for older users.

The device is powered by a 3100 mAh battery that offers 5-7 days of standby time on a full charge and is charged via the Type-C interface. The phone is also equipped with dual cameras (main and front), 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory. While details about the chipset have not been fully released, it is said to be the UniSoC T157, an octa-core chip designed for phones with 5G keyboards.
