OnePlus 12R received its first software update

OnePlus recently launched its new OnePlus 12 and 12R smartphones globally. Impressively, the company wasted no time in rolling out a major 6.5GB update for the OnePlus 12 just a few weeks after its initial release. Now, OnePlus has also started rolling out the first software update for its latest semi-flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12R.

Currently available in India with OxygenOS v14.0.0.307 (EX01) firmware, the update weighs 400 MB. This first update focuses on fixing bugs and improving basic aspects such as camera performance, network stability and power efficiency.

Features of OnePlus 12R

For a quick overview, the OnePlus 12R is a high-performance smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and a cooling system that prevents overheating.

The device, which has a 6.78 inch OLED screen with slightly curved edges, offers a bright and exciting image with 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR certifications and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

To capture memories, the phone has a triple camera system consisting of a 50MP main sensor, ultra-wide lens and macro unit. Selfies are handled by the 16 MP front camera. A large 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging powers the phone despite it running Android 14 out of the box.
