The device costs $3,500 before taxes, making it one of the most expensive consumer devices on the market. Apple has big plans for the device, promoting and advertising heavily and claiming it has the potential to change the way we interact with augmented reality.

But it is unlikely that many users who purchased Vision Pro will accept this. The vast majority of first-time users of the Vision Pro were not impressed with its performance or capabilities. According to Business Insider, some of the most common complaints include:

• Even though the device has a thick headband that should distribute the weight evenly, it is too heavy and uncomfortable for long-term use.
• The device does not offer sufficient advantages over existing technologies such as computers, tablets and smartphones. The only exception is watching movies and photos, which, according to some users, are more exciting and enjoyable on Vision Pro.
• The device is not compatible with many popular apps and services such as Netflix and YouTube. (Interestingly, there are a lot of complaints about the Vision Pro not supporting VR porn). Users must rely on Apple’s own apps, such as Vision TV, Vision Music, and Vision Photos, which have limited content and functionality.

Some users expressed their frustration and discontent on social media platforms such as Reddit and X. Many decide to return the device for a refund, while others hope for future updates and improvements.

Apple did not comment on negative reviews or the frequency of return of the device. Vision Pro is Apple’s first step into the augmented reality market, which is expected to grow rapidly over the next decade. Time will tell whether Apple can overcome the challenges and create a quality product.
