ZTE introduced the world’s most affordable foldable smartphone

ZTE has introduced its first foldable smartphone, the Libero Flip, a more affordable alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5. Currently, this innovation can only be ordered in Japan from the local operator Y!. The mobile is also priced at 38.9 thousand yen (about $259) exclusively for early buyers. The suggested retail price of the device is ¥63,000 (about $420).

ZTE Libero Flip has a built-in flexible 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2790 × 1188 pixels. There is also an external 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels that can display notifications, weather forecast, timer and can be used to answer calls, control the camera, play music and more.

Next to the panel, there is a 50 MP main camera supported by a 2 MP depth sensor. There is also a 16 MP front camera located in the middle of the top of the internal display.

The smartphone is based on an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with a clock frequency of up to 2.4 GHz and an Adreno 662 graphics accelerator. The amount of RAM is 6 GB and the flash drive is 128 GB. The 4310 mAh capacity battery supports 33 W fast charging. The technical features of ZTE Libero Flip include Wi-Fi 802.11ax wireless adapters, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC chip. The weight of the smartphone is 214 grams, and the novelty will go on sale on February 29.
