Asus has officially announced the release date of its next smartphone. According to sources, the official name of the product is Zenfone 11 Ultra. The device will not be unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) later this month. Instead, it will be announced at a special event on March 14.
The conference will start at 20:00 GMT+8. The live broadcast will be broadcast on the company’s official YouTube channel. We’ve been hearing about the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra since December. Images of the phone were leaked last week, revealing its design and colors.
According to the images, the device will be similar in appearance to the ROG Phone 8 series. It will be available in five colors including Eternal Black, Skyline Blue, Misty Grey, Verdure Green and Desert Sienna.
Asus has only officially revealed the front of the phone so far. The teaser render confirms thin bezels around the flat screen with punch-holes in the middle. The product tagline is aptly called “Expand Your Vision.”
According to a leak from earlier this month, Zenfone 11 Ultra will have a 6.78-inch FHD + 144Hz LTPO AMOLED display. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
There will be a triple camera system on the back of the phone. The system will consist of a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide unit and a 3x 32MP telephoto lens. There will be a 32 megapixel selfie camera on the front.
For biometrics, the device will use the under-screen fingerprint sensor. As for the software, it will run Android 14. Finally, the smartphone will be powered by a 5,500mAh battery and support 65W wired charging and 15W wireless charging standards.
