Meizu 21 Pro launch date announced

Competition in the smartphone market is increasing day by day. In fact, it has become so concentrated that even giants such as Apple and Samsung are having difficulty selling devices as before. Meizu is undoubtedly among the manufacturers affected by this situation. The company, which has a significant market share in many countries, especially China, has come a long way since its bright days in recent years.

In fact, the latest information suggests that Meizu may have thrown in the towel on the smartphone market and focused entirely on artificial intelligence products. However, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer does not want to give up yet, as the Meizu 21 Pro will be officially introduced on February 29.

Meizu 21 Pro could be the company’s last smartphone

Meizu 21 Pro will be introduced at an event to be held in China on February 29. As with every highly anticipated phone, there is already a lot of speculation floating around the internet about the 21 Pro. The first and most striking of these is the price of the phone. The company’s previous model, the 20 Pro, was launched in China at a price of 3,999 yuan.

Therefore, most of us assumed that the price of the new model would be similar. However, some sources suggest that the Meizu 21 Pro could potentially reach RMB 6,000 (approximately US$800-850). At first glance, this price may seem expensive. You are right, but it is important to remember that Meizu 21 Pro is a flagship. Allegedly, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

In addition, this model will be equipped with a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED panel with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the screen. It will also have a 4,800mAh battery and 80W fast charging support. When we look at the rear camera of the phone, there will be a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and an 8MP telephoto lens. The front camera will have a 40 MP sensor.

In addition, a number of artificial intelligence features that we have recently started to see from all smartphone manufacturers will also be included in this model. Recently, Meizu announced that it is stopping its traditional “smartphone” projects to focus on the field of artificial intelligence. Thus, Meizu 21 Pro may be the last traditional smartphone from Meizu. Of course, since no clear statement has been made on this issue yet, this is just an assumption.
