ZTE Nubia announced its first step into the world of foldable phones at Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC) in Barcelona: Nubia Flip 5G.

Technical features of Nubia Flip 5G:

Nubia Flip 5G features a large 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED foldable display with 120Hz refresh rate. When folded, the convenient round external AMOLED display with a diagonal of 1.43 inches and a resolution of 466×466 pixels provides quick access to messages and basic functions without opening the phone. According to the company, the device has a dual-rail suspension hinge that can withstand more than 200,000 openings.

Under the hood of Nubia Flip 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with Adreno 644 GPU that offers good performance for daily tasks and multitasking. While it’s not the best processor, it helps support a cost-effective approach. The phone is equipped with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring smooth operation and high data transfer speed. It runs Android 13 out of the box.

In the camera department, there is a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. The 16-megapixel front camera is designed for video calls and selfies. The device also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Despite its compact design, Nubia Flip 5G does not compromise on connectivity; It supports 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C and NFC. It has a 4,310mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging, which can fully charge the phone in approximately 73 minutes.

Nubia Flip 5G is available for sale at prices starting from $599 in black and gold color options. This positions it as one of the most affordable flip phones currently available, making it an attractive option for consumers looking to experience an advanced form factor without breaking the bank.
