Huawei is preparing to launch its latest flagship smartphone series, the Huawei P70, in China soon. However, although there is no official statement about its announcement, a new report has revealed more details about the main camera on the back.
The main camera of the Huawei P70 is a 50 MP OmniVision sensor
For those who don’t know, Huawei P series are high-end devices that focus on offering a top-notch camera. Now sources in the supply chain have revealed the main camera on the base P70 model. The Chinese tech giant is apparently planning to equip the premium phone with the OmniVision OV50H sensor for the main camera. It is a 50-megapixel image sensor with a 1/1.3-inch sensor size and a single pixel size of 1.2 µm.
This is in line with one of our earlier reports, as the digital chat station is the first to indicate that the OmniVision OV50H is the primary sensor on the rear. He later added that the P70 will have a 50-megapixel triple camera. The OV50H sensor will be paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens that offers 4x optical zoom and can also take macro shots.
DCS also revealed more details about the upcoming smartphone’s display. The device is said to feature a tall 6.7-inch quad-curved display, which is expected to be an OLED panel supplied by local manufacturers such as BOE, CSOT, Visionox, and Tianma.
