Update details

Some of the new features may not be available immediately even after the update is installed. For example, new Co-Pilot skills will begin to appear at the end of march.

The update adds new capabilities that allow users to ask Copilot to:

• turn on battery saver mode,
• Show available Wi-Fi networks,
• clear basket
• Enable Narrator or magnifier,
• high contrast mode etc. activate.

Additionally, new plugins allow Copilot to interact with various services such as OpenTable and Shopify.

Changes to the Photos app

Another new feature in the Photos app is productive deletion. It is based on an artificial intelligence algorithm that can easily remove unwanted objects from photos. Users simply select the objects they want to remove, start the image processing process, and the algorithm does the rest.

Deleted objects are replaced with created pixels that match the overall color scheme, giving the impression that the photo has not been edited.

Updated widgets

The update also improved the widget panel. Users can now organize widgets by category.

• Binding featureThe app is getting smarter, allowing users to resize app windows. The Window Layouts menu now offers smart hints to help users quickly group multiple app windows based on how often they interact with each one.
• A new feature has arrived for devices running Windows 11 with touchscreens that allows users to enter handwriting data directly over editable areas using Windows Ink. Additionally, developers have increased the number of programs that support Windows Ink.
• Also improved sharing functionallows users to share files. Users will now be able to send files to WhatsApp, Snapchat and Instagram, and the number of supported services will continue to grow.
• Share Nearby function now provides faster data transfer speeds when users share files with devices on the same network.
• Phone Connection tool The feature in Windows 11 allows users to quickly access photos and screenshots on a synced smartphone. Users can also use their smartphones as cameras in video conferencing applications.

Microsoft also continues to improve Windows 11’s accessibility features for users with disabilities.

The Voice Access feature allows users to use voice commands to interact with the operating system, as well as create their own voice commands to perform various actions such as opening folders, adding text, launching applications, links, and more.
