Samsung has released the latest software update for the Galaxy S24 series with the March 2024 security patch. The update began rolling out in late February, following the release of the initial firmware, which focused on camera improvements and display color adjustments.

Users in Canada, Germany, Italy, and other European regions reported receiving the update with build number AXBG. Below are the software build numbers for all three devices in the series:

• Galaxy S24: S921USQS1AXBG
• Galaxy S24+: S926USQS1AXBG
• Galaxy S24 Ultra: S928USQS1AXBG

While Samsung’s changelog doesn’t include specific changes, the highlight is undoubtedly the addition of the March security patch. The weight of the update for the Galaxy S24 Ultra is around 756MB, while the other models in the series are around 428MB.

Samsung continues to be among the leading smartphone manufacturers when it comes to releasing monthly security updates. Although the February 2024 update came a little later than usual for flagship Galaxy devices, Samsung got back on schedule by releasing the March update even before Google.

Other Galaxy phones like the Galaxy S23 and Z Fold 5 are expected to receive the March patch later this month. This is in line with Samsung’s confirmation that the One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI features will arrive on these devices by the end of March.

The update will introduce features like Circle to Search, AI-powered wallpapers, productive image editing, Notes Assistant, and more.
