The Belgian telecommunications company accidentally revealed all the features of the Samsung Galaxy A55, whose official presentation was scheduled for March 11. This leak, which includes information about technical specifications and official images, confirms previous rumors and gives us a clear idea of what we can expect from the new phone.
This leak confirms most of the previous rumors about the Galaxy A55
A55 will be powered by Exynos 1480 SoC, a powerful processor for daily use and multimedia. While the leak confirms 6GB of RAM, previous reports have suggested potential options of up to 12GB for smoother multitasking. Memory starts at 128GB, but the microSD memory card slot allows you to expand it up to 1TB, providing plenty of room for data.
The display is a step up from the A54, offering a larger 6.6-inch OLED panel for bright images and wide viewing angles. The hole in the middle houses the selfie camera while maintaining a clean aesthetic.
The camera setup is not the same as the A54 and includes a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens and 5MP macro lens, meeting different photography needs. The front camera has 32 MP resolution for selfies and video calls.
The A55 retains the robust 5,000mAh battery of previous A-series phones for long battery life. The software takes a step forward by ditching Android 13 and moving to the latest version of Android 14, offering access to Samsung’s new features and potentially longer software support.
Although the leak reveals most of the details, the price is unknown. We expect Samsung to announce official prices during its March 11 event, allowing potential buyers to make an informed decision. However, this leak provides valuable information for those interested in the A55’s capabilities and whether it fits their needs and budget.
