Xiaomi 14 has finally been officially launched in India. In the country, it is accompanied by Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Vanilla 14 is almost identical to 14 Pro. Therefore, the latter was not released in other world markets. Xiaomi 14 is the only Android alternative to the Galaxy S24 outside mainland China. Not only does it have better specs, but it’s also cheaper than Samsung’s offerings in several regions, including India.
Features of Xiaomi 14
Xiaomi 14 has a square design, just like the previous Xiaomi 13. However, the camera module is now larger and there are no lines separating the sensors. The phone has a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with perforations in the middle. The 10-bit display has a resolution of 2670×1200 pixels (1.5K), 460 pixels per inch and a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz (LTPO). Dolby Vision supports DC dimming and a native peak brightness level of 3000 nits.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC processor. The chipset is paired with LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and VC liquid cooling system (vapor chamber). On the software side, it boots HyperOS based on Android 14.
Leica cameras are installed on the phone. The triple main camera system consists of a 50-megapixel individual Light Fusion 900 main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide unit and a 50-megapixel camera with a sliding 3.2x lens. There is a 32 megapixel camera on the front.
The smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, X-axis linear vibration motor, IR blaster and IP68 rating (dust and water resistance). Connectivity options include dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GNSS, NFC and USB 3.2 Gen1.
Finally, the product has a 4610mAh battery and supports 90W wired, 50W wireless and 10W reversible wireless charging standards.
Xiaomi 14 price in India
Xiaomi 14 is available in a single 12GB + 512GB storage option in India. The device is priced at Rs 69,999 (~$845). It can be purchased in black, white or jade green. It will be available for purchase starting from 12:00 on March 11. The smartphone will be sold through Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, Xiaomi Home and partner retail stores.
