Vivo introduced the Y03 entry-level smartphone. The value of the novelty was only $83. The device is equipped with a 6.56-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1612×720 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
Vivo Y03 is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 processor (two Cortex-A75 cores clocked up to 2.0GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores clocked up to 1.8GHz, and one Malicious core clocked up to 1GHz -G52 MP2 graphics core). The smartphone offers 64 or 128 GB eMMC 5.1 permanent memory along with 4 GB LPDDR4X standard RAM. The device supports expansion of virtual RAM up to 4 GB at the expense of permanent memory. Storage volume can be increased by 1 TB by supporting microSD memory cards.
There is a 5 MP camera on the front of the device, and a 13 MP module from the company with an auxiliary sensor at QVGA resolution on the back. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support and runs Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 overlay.
Among other features of the novelty, the manufacturer highlights IP54 protection against splashes and dust, support for two SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS. Vivo Y03 will be available in black (Space Black) and green (Gem Green) body color options.
The price of the smartphone in the basic configuration with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB permanent memory is 83 dollars, while the price of the smartphone is 97 dollars for the version with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB permanent memory. The smartphone is available in Indonesia but Vivo plans to launch it in other Asian markets as well.
