Huawei has officially announced the global launch of two new consumer devices – the Huawei Band 9 fitness tracker and the FreeLace Pro 2 wireless neckband headset. The company announced the products via a social media post confirming the upcoming launch.

Huawei Band 9

Huawei Band 9 was previously registered in Malaysia’s SIRIM and UAE’s TDRA databases with model number KIM-B19. However, the list does not include any specific details of the tracker.

Band 9 will be released in 2023 as the successor to Huawei Band 8. The teaser image shows that the new tracker retains the general design of previous models. In other words, it is a round rectangular screen with 2.5D glass and side buttons. According to Huawei, Band 9 will bring “a new era of wrist fashion and improved sleep functions.” However, the company did not say exactly what this means.

Huawei FreeLace Pro 2

Huawei also announced an update to its FreeLace Pro 2 neckband headphones. The original FreeLace Pro was released in August 2020, making it a long-awaited update to the series.

Even after years, FreeLace Pro 2 seems to retain the design of its predecessor. The part of the bud shown in the teaser visually resembles the part of the original FreeLace Pro. Both Huawei Band 9 and FreeLace Pro 2 were tagged “#ComingSoon” in a social media post. However, the company did not announce a specific launch date.
