Motorola has started making teasers about the appearance of its upcoming smartphone. Its premiere is planned for April 3. The Lenovo-owned brand remains tight-lipped about the exact name and details of the device. Now Motorola has released its latest teaser revealing the processor of the unnamed phone. It also potentially confirms that this will be a mid-range offering.

Motorola’s upcoming phone processor confirmed

It has been confirmed that Motorola’s upcoming unnamed phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor under the hood. The teaser subtly reveals that the device will be available in purple color. We assume the upcoming offering will support fast wired and even wireless charging. A separate teaser of the phone also confirmed the same color tone and curved display. We also noticed a raised camera island on the back.

Although the name of Motorola’s upcoming phone remains a secret, it is believed to be the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. But that doesn’t seem to be the case as this is the flagship offering powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This will also be the rebranded Moto X50 Ultra, which will be launched in China next month. Based on the latest processor confirmation, we assume the upcoming Motorola phone is the Edge 50 Fusion.

Motorola’s Edge family shares the same design language for models but different features. Yesterday, Evan Blass revealed the key features of the Edge 50 Fusion. However, instead of the confirmed Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, he mentioned Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. The Lenovo-owned brand did not launch the Edge Fusion last year, and the upcoming offering could be the successor to the Edge 30 Fusion launched in 2022.
