Google will continue to push its relatively inexpensive Pixel smartphones closer to its flagships. At least the Pixel 8a, whose parameters have been leaked online, will be closer to the Pixel 8 than similar pairs of previous generations.

According to Android Authority, Pixel 8a will have a 120Hz display. As a reminder, the Pixel 7a panel had a frequency of 90 Hz, while the Pixel 6a was satisfied with the frequency of 60 Hz. At the same time, the screen will grow to 6.2 inches, have a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a brightness of up to 1400 cd/m2.

The Pixel 8a will retain the same 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 sensor-based primary camera as the Pixel 7a. All things considered, the other cameras won’t change either.

Its heart will be the SoC Tensor G3, which is significantly faster than previous versions of Tensor. True, the chip will have slightly different packaging (IPoP instead of FOPLP) than the flagship models, but it is still unclear whether this will have any impact on its operation. Previously, there was also data that Pixel 8a would be available in two versions with 128 GB and 256 GB flash memory. True, at the same time, the novelty was assigned a significantly higher price than Pixel 7a.
