Xiaomi talked about the camera system of Civi 4 Pro before the presentation it plans to make on March 21. The camera system is equipped with a Leica Optical Summilux lens with a wide f/1.63 aperture (similar to the Xiaomi 14 Pro) and a 50MP OmniVision Light Fusion 800 sensor.
The Light Fusion 800’s main sensor has a 1/1.55-inch format, 2.0 µm pixel size, and 13.2 EV dynamic range. It was first used by the Redmi K70 Pro, which was released at the end of last year. This is slightly smaller than the Xiaomi 14 Pro’s main 1/1.31-inch Light Fusion 900 (OVX9000) sensor.
Additionally, Leica Summilux lenses specialize in shooting in low light conditions. They use a special type of glass with unique reflective properties. The phone is expected to offer Portrait Master and other professional camera features designed to maximize the potential of the onboard hardware right from the camera.
Previous teasers have also revealed that the phone will be available in four different colors and will be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a stripped-down version of the powerhouse of 2024 flagships such as the recently announced Galaxy S24 series. This chip could make the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro a flagship killer.
Talking about other aspects, Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro is expected to feature a 6.55-inch 1080p (2400×1080) OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Compared to its predecessor, the Xiaomi Civi 3, the rear design looks quite similar with a slightly larger round camera module with a flash inside.
