Thanks to robots, including this one, rescuers stay away from dangers and prevent the danger of collapse or excessive heat. It is controlled by a special remote control that provides the operator with real-time images from its cameras.
The all-electric drive combined with the crawler drive system moves the Wolf R1 silently over the toughest surfaces, allowing it to operate in almost any environment. And it is equipped with a robotic arm.

The application areas of this robot are very diverse. Because it minimizes human interaction with the hazardous environment, it can be used in all kinds of high-risk firefighting, reconnaissance and security missions, thus providing maximum protection for emergency personnel.
The robot is particularly suitable for:
Extinguishing fires in rugged terrain, such as vegetation or forest fires.
Extinguishing fires in industrial workshops or buildings.
Support firefighting operations during reconnaissance of the assault team.
Supporting firefighting operations using thermal cameras.
Lifting is done using a crane.
Detection of dangerous substances and transportation with the help of a remote manipulator.
Entry or exit to the facility.
Logistic tasks with towing device and towing load of up to three tonnes.

Wolf R1 features 4 static directional cameras, 2 action cameras for normal and thermal imaging, a 360-degree tower camera with normal and thermal imaging, 6 bright LED floodlights (expandable up to 12 elements), additional powerful LED ambient lighting .
This powerful machine can also distribute up to 2,000 liters of water per minute and spray it 65 meters in front of the fire during firefighting. It uses special claws to stay in place, providing a secure stance.
The robot can be controlled from a carrier vehicle using a remote control with a range of up to 150 meters, or via a dedicated Magirus TacticNet network with a range of up to 2,500 meters.

The entire system has wide modification possibilities and can be equipped with various additional options – escort using thermal imaging drone, additional manipulators, a spectrometer (detects radiation), additional protection, trailers and others.
Magirus Wolf R1 in Ukraine
Apparently there are two or more such robots in Ukraine. One was helping rescue teams extinguish fires in Ternopil, and the other was working at the Odesa facility today. Such a robot was evaluated in 2023 10 million hryvnia.
