Samsung announced the Galaxy M55 5G mid-range phone in Brazil. Early rumors about the device suggested that it could be similar to the Galaxy A55 that was recently launched in various markets. Galaxy M55 5G has a 6.7-inch AMOLED Plus display with a punch-hole design. The screen has Full HD + resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits maximum brightness and a built-in fingerprint scanner. The phone runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1.
Galaxy M55 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The SoC is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It offers connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and USB-C port.
The M55 has a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls. On the back of the device, there is a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The device has dual speakers for music lovers. It has a polycarbonate structure with an IP67 dust and water rating. M55 is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 180 grams.

The Galaxy M55 is available in Brazil for BZR 2,699 (about $540). It is available in two shades: light green and dark blue. The M55 is expected to be launched in various markets, including India, in the coming weeks.
