Samsung announced the Galaxy M55 5G mid-range phone in Brazil. Early rumors about the device suggested that it could be similar to the Galaxy A55 that was recently launched in various markets. However, although the design of the M55 is not much different from the A55, the new M series has completely different features. Read on to learn all about the M55.


Features of Samsung Galaxy M55 5G

Galaxy M55 5G has a 6.7-inch AMOLED Plus display with a punch-hole design. The screen has Full HD + resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits maximum brightness and a built-in fingerprint scanner. The phone runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1.

Galaxy M55 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The SoC is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It offers connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and USB-C port.

The M55 has a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls. On the back of the device, there is a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The device has dual speakers for music lovers. It has a polycarbonate structure with an IP67 dust and water rating. M55 is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 180 grams.

The Galaxy M55 is available in Brazil for BZR 2,699 (about $540). It is available in two shades: light green and dark blue. The M55 is expected to be launched in various markets, including India, in the coming weeks.
