Oppo Find X7 Ultra gets a major camera upgrade

Oppo Find X7 Ultra has received update 14.0.1.501, which brings new interesting camera features. The standout feature is undoubtedly the 50MP RAW MAX format. Popular among photography enthusiasts, this format stores raw raw image data from the camera sensor. This provides unparalleled flexibility in post-processing, allowing you to adjust color balance, exposure and more.

But that’s not all. The update also improves the long focus algorithm from 10x to 13.2x and adds support for Dolby Vision video recording with the full focal range of the four cameras at 4K 60fps. Oppo product director @SourDigital said: “These features are industry firsts.” Update notes are as follows:

• Main mode now supports 50MP RAWMAX (supports focal lengths: 0.6X, 1X, 3X, 6x), providing higher resolution and greater dynamic range, already Adobe Raw certified
• A brand new upgrade to the 10x-13.2x Long Focus Algorithm (a QBC algorithm applied to non-physical points for the first time) significantly improves sharpness in this focal range
• Rear video mode now supports recording with the full focal range of four 4K 60fps Dolby Vision cameras, offering greater freedom to change focal length for easier rendering
• Optimized fluidity and consistency when changing lenses in video mode for smoother zoom transitions
• Improved object and facial texture recognition accuracy in group photo mode improves the group photo experience
• Optimized shutter lag in motion mode for smarter exposure times and faster continuous shooting response, increasing success rate in shooting action scenes.
