Technology giant Xiaomi recently announced the official part prices for its flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Edition. While the phone itself may have impressive features like satellite connectivity and luxurious design, having it repaired after the warranty expires could burn a hole in your pocket.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Edition repair cost
The biggest cost is replacing the motherboard, which comes to a staggering 3,030 yuan ($426). Replacing a cracked screen isn’t much cheaper either; 1,690 yuan ($238). This is slightly more expensive than the standard Xiaomi 14 Ultra screen repair cost of 1,350 yuan ($190).
Fortunately, other components like the battery and rear camera modules are more wallet-friendly. These prices reflect the cost of materials only, with an additional standard labor charge of RMB 40 ($6) per repair.
For those looking for a more detailed breakdown, here’s a quick overview of how much each component costs:
- Motherboard: 3030 yuan ($426)
- Lower payout: 50 RMB ($7)
- Display: 1,690 yuan ($238)
- Rear Camera (Ultra Wide): RMB 490 (US$68)
- Front camera: 60 yuan ($8)
- Main camera (wide): 1000 yuan ($139)
- Speaker: 30 yuan ($4)
- Battery: 179 yuan ($25)
- Rear camera (telephoto): 180 yuan ($25)
- Back cover: 290 yuan ($40)
It is important to note that if multiple parts are needed for a single repair, the highest labor rate will only be charged once.
So what justifies the premium on the Titanium Edition display? Although Xiaomi does not directly state the reason, it is probably related to the luxury materials of the phone. Unlike the standard version, the Titanium Edition features a “premium titanium” midframe for greater strength and a technical nanoleather back cover that is said to be six times more abrasion resistant.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra was unveiled in China on February 22. This special version, priced at 8,799 yuan (US$ 1,228), offers 16 GB RAM, 1 TB storage and satellite support. It went on sale at the beginning of this month.
