The iPhone 16 series has been making headlines lately thanks to numerous leaks and rumors regarding possible changes to the upcoming series. Recently, CAD renders and smartphone cases have surfaced online, giving us a glimpse of what the new iPhones might look like.
Dummy blocks, now widely used by case manufacturers to ensure compatibility, have also appeared online, offering an early look at the iPhone 16 series.
The images shared by Sonny Dixon on X/Twitter show the designs of all four models in the iPhone 16 series. As expected, there are visible design changes compared to the previous iPhone 15 series.
Significant changes await iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. The images show that Apple has changed the camera alignment of these models from the diagonal seen in previous versions to vertical. The change is the enablement of spatial video recording for Vision Pro.
Additionally, the Action button, which was previously exclusive to iPhone Pro models, appears to be available on all iPhone 16s. We also see a new capture button on the right side of the device. Rumor has it that the button will have a mechanical design with a capacitive surface to control zooming with gestures.
The models also show that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be slightly larger than the base iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. Although unconfirmed, it is speculated that the Pro models may increase the screen size slightly, reaching 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches for the Pro and Pro Max respectively.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 16 series smartphones in September. As with all leaks and rumors, it’s important to keep in mind that these details have not yet been confirmed and may change before the official release.
