Samsung is reportedly preparing to launch the Galaxy S24 FE. When it comes to the release schedule of Samsung FE models, it has been a bit inconsistent from the beginning.

Looking at the Galaxy S23 FE, it seems that the S24 FE could be released in late 2024. However, Korean media outlet The Elec is now hinting (based on some evidence) that Samsung may launch the phone much sooner than we expected.

The display component of the Galaxy S24 FE has already entered mass production

They reported that display components such as the display driver IC (DDI) of the Galaxy S24 FE have entered mass production. It is stated that the production volume is calculated in millions. So we can expect the same number of units on the shelves. This shows that Samsung is really serious about the FE series and expects the S24 FE to perform well based on market research.

The publication also notes that the Galaxy S24 FE is planned to be released this summer. If we talk about the display driver manufacturer Anapass, they mainly supply their products to Chinese smartphone manufacturers. According to some reports, Anapass holds the number one T-con (timing controller) market share in Samsung’s OLED displays.

As for the unspecified S24 FE production volume reported by the outlet, it’s a bit vague. For comparison, they previously stated that the Galaxy S23 FE is around three million.
