Due to their high prices, Samsung’s foldable phones are out of reach for many consumers. However, rumors suggest that Samsung is developing more affordable foldable phones to appeal to a wider audience. Tipster Kro recently claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that Samsung could develop affordable phones like the Galaxy Z Fold FE and Galaxy Z Flip FE. Subsequent posts on X revealed the key features of the device. However, he claims that he will only release one of them.

Features of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold FE and Galaxy Z Flip FE

The Galaxy Z Fold FE and Z Flip FE are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, the same chip that powers the Realme 12 Pro+ and Redmi Note 13 Pro. The leak also suggests that the Fold FE may be available in some markets with an Exynos SoC, possibly the Exynos 2200.

The Galaxy Z Fold FE is said to have 12 GB and 16 GB RAM, while the Flip variant may come in 8 GB and 12 GB RAM variants. As for memory, both complex devices may be available in 256 GB and 512 GB sizes.

The Galaxy Z Fold FE is said to measure 155.1×67.1×14.2-15.8mm when folded. When opened, it will have dimensions of 155.1×130.1×6.3 mm. Galaxy Z Flip FE will have dimensions of 84.9×71.9×15.9-171 mm when folded and 165.2×71.9×6.9 mm when opened.

Samsung has yet to officially confirm the existence of budget foldable phones. There is also no indication of when complex FEs might be released. Therefore, it is recommended that you approach information leaks with caution.
