This month is full of exciting mid-range smartphone releases. It all started with the Motorola Edge 50 Pro and now we can’t wait for a few more launches like the Redmi Turbo 3, Realme GT Neo 6 SE and Oppo A3 Pro in China later this week.

Now, it looks like iQOO will also launch a smartphone called iQOO Z9 Turbo soon. iQOO’s Z series product manager Xeng Ching said in a recent Weibo post that “this month will be off to a busy start.” It is worth noting that he confirmed the name of the device for the first time by publishing this post with the iQOO Z9 Turbo. From this teaser, we can expect the iQOO Z9 Pro smartphone to launch in April.

Although there is no confirmation from official channels, it is said that the iQOO Z9 Turbo will be powered by the recently released Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. It has also been confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 3 will be launched with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. It will be a direct competitor to the iQOO Z9 Turbo.

The iQOO Z9 Turbo also reportedly features a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. It may have a built-in fingerprint sensor for security.

The phone is said to be launched with two RAM configurations: 12GB/16GB, both paired with 512GB of storage. It is expected to have a 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. In terms of optics, the device may have a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
