Samsung introduced Galaxy M55 and M15

Samsung has launched several new mid-range smartphone models in India. The latest devices belong to the brand’s popular Galaxy M series and include the Galaxy M55 and Galaxy M15. Despite their average prices, these phones have some remarkable features.


Samsung Galaxy M55

Galaxy M55 from the South Korean technology giant is the more expensive of the two models with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits peak brightness. The panel has a punch-hole that houses the 50-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Meanwhile, on the back panel, there is a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy M55 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Users can expand storage up to 1TB via microSD card slot. Powering this device is a powerful 5000mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging. Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Dolby Atmos support, USB-C port, Android 14 operating system and in-display fingerprint scanner. The device is only 7.8 mm thick and weighs 180 grams.

Samsung Galaxy M15

The new Galaxy M15 features a shorter 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. This model has a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor that comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via the microSD card slot. One of the highlights of this device is undoubtedly the massive 6,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging.

For photography, the Galaxy M15 also has a triple camera: a 50-megapixel main camera with 10x zoom, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the other hand, there is a 13-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. Like the Galaxy M55, it also runs Android 14 out of the box. Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.3, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port and dual 5G SIM cards.

Pricing and Availability

Samsung has launched two mid-range devices in India. Galaxy M55 starts at INR 26,999 for the base 8GB+128GB model. The 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants are priced at INR 29,999 and INR 32,999 respectively. This device is available in two color options: Light Green and Dark Blue. It can be purchased from the brand’s official website, Amazon India and other retail stores.

The starting price of the Galaxy M15 for the 4GB+128GB model is INR 13,299, while the price for the 6GB+128GB configuration is INR 14,799. It is available on Amazon India, Samsung’s official website and other retail stores. You can get the smartphone in Blue Topaz, Celestial Blue and Stone Gray colours.
