Oppo is on sale in China Oppo A3 ProA mid-range smartphone. The interesting thing about this phone is that it is the first mainstream smartphone in recent times to be IP69, IP68 and IP66 certified. The company claims that it is a fully waterproof smartphone that can withstand hot water, submersion and strong splashes.

The device has Oppo’s Crystal Glass protection on the front and back. Additionally, it is the first smartphone to receive the Swiss SGS Gold Label 5-start drop resistance certification and has passed China’s national military shock resistance standard. Therefore, Oppo claims that the A3 Pro is resistant to drops and scratches.

Oppo A3 Pro specifications and features

Oppo A3 Pro features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 950 nits of brightness. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for added security. The phone comes with Android 14 based on ColorOS 14.

Powered by the Dimensity 7050 chipset, the A3 Pro mid-range phone comes with 8GB/12GB LPDDR4x RAM, 12GB virtual RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone supports a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

Oppo A3 Pro has an 8-megapixel camera on the front. There is a 64-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the back. The front camera supports FHD video recording up to 30 fps, while the main rear camera supports 4K video recording up to 30 fps. Apart from this, the device also offers other features such as dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS and USB-C port.

Oppo A3 Pro price

Oppo A3 Pro was launched in China in three variants: 8GB+128GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB. These variants are priced at RMB 1,999 (~$275), RMB 2,199 ($300), and RMB 2,499 ($345). It is available in shades such as Azure (glass back), Mountain Blue (leather back) and Yunjin Pink (leather back). There is no information on whether it will hit the global market.
