The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is quite similar to the Ultra model, although it adds a slightly lower but more modern processor. Next to it we find a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. While it may not be the pinnacle of flagships, it is a configuration that should provide excellent performance. At the memory level, Motorola explains that it has added a memory booster by taking advantage of the use of internal storage as virtual memory.
The screen chosen for the Moto Edge 50 Pro is a 6.7-inch pOLED panel with a resolution of 2,712 x 1,220 pixels in 20:9 format. Its brightness of 2,000 nits and mainly 144 Hz refresh rateThis is a theoretical step above the 120 Hz usually seen in most current mobile phone panels.
Motorola also boasts of adding HDR10+ certification and Dolby Atmos signature audio thanks to its two stereo speakers. The Pro model also features Snapdragon Sound technology, which increases the latency of the Bluetooth connection.
The battery level has 4,500 mAh and 125W TurboPower fast charging with cable and 50W wirelessIn this field, it stands out compared to many competitors in its price range.
Motorola is relying on new Lytia sensors for the photography department. 50 megapixel main sensor and a f/1.4 record apertureIt promises to capture up to 64% more light compared to an f/1.8 lens.
It comes with a 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor with optical image stabilization and 3x zoom. It has a 50 megapixel sensor for the front camera.
As Motorola announced, they have secured a deal in partnership with Pantone for the new Edge 50 family. Exclusive certification of Pantone color experts for both photography and display.
Motorola Edge 50 Fusion: A design to match
Motorola Edge 50 Fusion also comes with a design IP68, Gorilla Glass 5 and vegan leather-trimmed versions.
The screen selected is a 6.7-inch pOLED panel with 144 Hz and HDR10+. The main difference is on the inside, where the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 5,000mAh battery are added, although the Pro model does not have fast charging.
It loses the telephoto sensor for photography, but 50 megapixel sensor LYTIA LYT-700C with optical image stabilization. There are 32 megapixels on the front.
Android 14 is the software version chosen for the new Edge 50 family. It comes with the Hello UX customization layer and Smart Connect functionality that integrates Motorola devices with Lenovo products in the same group, such as laptops and tablets.
