Later this year, Apple will launch its flagship iPhone 14 series with many new features and design changes. We expect a dual-cut display for the iPhone 14 Pro and a cutback to the standard iPhone 14 models. The new report predicts that all four iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models will have 6GB of RAM. Scroll down to see more about it.
A new report from Taiwanese research firm TrendForce says all four iPhone 14 models will have 6GB of RAM. Also, future Pro models will be equipped with updated RAM to increase productivity and reduce power consumption. iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will be equipped with LPDDR4X and iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be equipped with LPDDR5 RAM.
While the standard models will have the same type of RAM as last year, the amount of RAM from 4 GB in the current models will be increased to 6 GB. You can check the list below for more details.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard details about the updated RAM on the four iPhone 14s. Mong-Chi Kuo previously reported that the iPhone 14 Pro will have 6GB of updated LPDDR5 RAM. Also, the latest report states that the iPhone 14 Pro will have 256GB of memory instead of 128GB. However, this is not true at the moment and we advise you to take the news with some skepticism as the final word is from Apple.
Other distinguishing factors between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro include the A16 Bionic chip in the latter, while the former will stick with the A15 Bionic. In addition, the iPhone 14 Pro will have an updated 48-megapixel main camera compared to the 12-megapixel sensor on current models. Apple seems to be trying to bridge the gap between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro with a potential price difference of at least $200.
