We have been hearing reports of green line issues on some Samsung Galaxy devices since last year. The problem mainly concerns models with Super AMOLED displays. Since its launch, Samsung has introduced a one-time free screen replacement program in some markets. For example, the company has been offering this service in India since last year.
Devices eligible for free screen replacement include the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series, but since Samsung’s new smartphones started to experience the same problem, Samsung expanded the program to include the Galaxy S21 and S22 series.
Green lines on the screen can significantly impair the usability of the device. Even small tasks like opening apps can be frustrating under these conditions. To assist affected users, Samsung is offering free screen replacement. However, affected devices will receive free battery and kit replacement as well as the screen.
But the problem is that there is a deadline to participate in this offer. For a free replacement, you must register at a Samsung service center by April 30, 2024. If you miss this deadline, you may have to pay for the repairs yourself.
Essentially, this program means that affected users’ devices will be repaired for free. Since the Galaxy S21 and S22 series are still receiving software updates and have relatively modern hardware, this free repair can really help extend the life of these smartphones.
So, if you are in India and own a green-striped Galaxy S20, Note 20, S21 or S22, we recommend you make an appointment at your nearest Samsung service center before April 30, 2024. Don’t miss this opportunity to repair your phone and enjoy it for many years.
