Xiaomi’s Civi series has carved out a niche for itself by offering an intriguing blend of style, performance and camera prowess for fashionistas and photographers. While the Civi 4 Pro was recently unveiled in China, rumors suggest that it will come to India under the name ‘Xiaomi 14 Civi’.
Xiaomi 14 Civi is expected to have similar features tailored to the tastes and needs of the Indian market.
Based on the Civi 4 Pro, the Civi 14 is likely to feature a 6.55-inch 1.5K (2750 x 1236 pixels) C8 12-bit AMOLED display. The screen is expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate, 460 PPI pixel density, 3000 nits peak brightness and 240 Hz touch sampling rate.
The screen will likely be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which provides greater resistance to scratches and impacts compared to previous generations. The display is also expected to have features such as HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision and high PWM dimming (possibly 2160Hz).
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 14 Civi is likely to be powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor built on a 4nm process and an Adreno 735 GPU. This chipset offers super-fast performance that handles demanding tasks like multitasking with ease. games and video editing.
As for memory, you can expect a configuration with 12 or even 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Storage options will likely range from 256GB to a generous 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, offering plenty of room for apps, games, photos, and videos.
Xiaomi 14 Civi is likely to inherit its impressive camera from the Civi 4 Pro. The rear camera system is a Leica triple lens setup with a large 1/1.55-inch OV50K Light Fusion 800 sensor and a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.63 aperture.
The main sensor is accompanied by a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120° angle of view for taking wide landscapes and group shots. Additionally, the 50-megapixel 2x telephoto lens with OIS allows you to take enlarged photos without sacrificing quality.
However, the real highlight may be the dual front camera system. This unique setup features a pair of 32-megapixel sensors, one with a standard 78° field of view and the other with a wider 100° field of view.
Xiaomi 14 Civi is expected to run on Xiaomi’s own HyperOS UI based on Android 14. This interface generally offers a customizable experience with additional features compared to stock Android. The phone may have a 4,700mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, which will last a full day for most users.
Other expected features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and various connectivity options such as 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC for contactless payments.
There is no information yet about the cost of the device. As per Civi 4 Pro prices in China, the Indian version may start at around Rs 35,000 for the base version (12GB RAM + 256GB storage), prices may increase for higher storage versions.
