Oppo Find X7 Ultra There is a 50-megapixel main lens, a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens and two 50-megapixel telephoto lenses, one of which is a 3x periscope lens. The ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max has a 48-megapixel main lens with multiple focal lengths, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom support. In terms of hardware, the main cameras are similar, but Oppo has a higher resolution for telephoto and wide-angle lenses.

We shared a series of photos from each smartphone on our social media without specifying which one was the “iPhone.” When we asked which images people liked best, our survey favored “iPhone,” but overall most people liked some images from Oppo and some from “iPhone.” No surprises here, as as with high-end smartphones, differences in camera quality can be very slight. Choosing a favorite often depends on what each smartphone does, and apparently choosing an image comes down to personal preference.

In standard photos taken from the main camera during the day, the images look almost the same. The ‘iPhone’ can sometimes look a little dimmer as it loses some of the saturation when you increase the brightness, while the Oppo tends to be more saturated. ‌iPhone‌ images may be brighter, which is better for some people, but the Oppo has brighter colors in many shots. ‌iPhone‌ sometimes turns up the heat, which is also something some people prefer.

In night shots, the Oppo’s images turned out to be better for the most part. Night colors were more realistic and there were fewer issues with glare and reflections. The ‌iPhone‌ slightly brightened some areas of night shots, but a few low-light images turned out better thanks to some of Apple’s low-light processing features built into ‌iPhone‌.

In telephoto and portrait shots, the “iPhone” had the edge in terms of focus and color, although photos were sometimes softer than the Oppo’s.
