Nothing has launched two new devices called Nothing Ear and Ear(a) in markets like the US, Europe and India. The brand’s next big announcement will probably be the Nothing Phone (3). The name suggests that this could be a flagship offering similar to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered Nothing Phone (2) announced in July 2023. Here’s a look at what to expect from the Phone (3).
A recent report claimed that the Nothing Phone (3) will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This is a relatively new chipset and is only found in a few phones like the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, Redmi Turbo 3, and iQOO Z9 Turbo. It was released in China.
Redmi Turbo 3 is expected to be renamed as Poco F6 in India. There is a possibility that the Z9 Turbo will enter the Indian market under a different brand name. So there is a possibility that Nothing Phone (3) can compete with these phones in India and some other markets. Unfortunately, other features of the phone (3) have not been revealed yet.
The Nothing Phone (3) is said to be priced between 40,000 rupees ($480) and 45,000 rupees ($540) in India. As a reminder, the phone (2) was announced last year with a starting price of 44,999 rupees ($540).
The announcement of Nothing Phone (2) in July 2023 raises the possibility that Phone (3) will be released around the same time this year. It is noteworthy that a trend has emerged this year where last year’s successor phones started to be released about a month earlier. So there is a possibility that Phone (3) will arrive by the end of the second quarter of this year.
CMF, the sub-brand of Nothing, which offers affordable devices that pay attention to color, materials and coating, is said to be working on its first smartphone. It is reported that the device has the model number “A015” and the code name “Tetris”. India seems to be one of the markets to receive the device as it was recently certified by India’s BIS certification platform.
