The smartphone supports 5G connectivity, but Samsung seems to be improving the 4G connectivity feature with the update. According to the changelog it says “LTE TDD regional band support”.

TDD It is a technology used by cellular networks to transfer data. So it looks like Samsung will improve the phone’s ability to connect and use 4G networks by updating TDD band support. This will lead to higher data transfer speeds and a more stable connection for users.

Interestingly, the changelog includes a special disclaimer for users in Germany. Apparently, even after the update, Galaxy A35 5G models purchased in Germany will not be able to receive signals in LTE TDD bands in some European countries.

These countries include Belgium, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

The changelog says: “Please note that models purchased in Germany cannot receive a signal in LTE TDD bands in the following countries: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Czech Republic.”

However, the reason for this limitation remains unclear.

With all this said, European Galaxy A35 users are expected to receive the update automatically in the next few days. Alternatively, you can manually check for updates by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
