Nokia phone and tablet maker HMD Global is launching two devices under its own brand in Europe. This is a reliable phone HMD XR21 and HMD T21 tablet. You may recognize these names; XR21 and T21 were previously branded Nokia’s. However, it seems that the company is now preparing to launch them under the HMD brand.
The leak comes from a source in Finland; this source revealed that the two devices have already been introduced at several Scandinavian retailers, revealing colors, memory and estimated price.
HMD XR21 It will be the company’s first 5G offering in Europe. According to the leak, it will be available in black color with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. The expected price is around 457.90 euros.
In terms of specifications, the XR21 is said to have the same hardware features as its Nokia counterpart. So, we can expect a 6.49-inch IPS LCD display, Snapdragon 695 chipset, 64MP dual cameras and a 4800mAh battery. The phone will also be IP69 and MIL-STD-810H certified, which is expected from a rugged phone.
The HMD T21 tablet will reportedly come in black. The most expensive model offers LTE connectivity, 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage for € 302.90. The more affordable LTE version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is expected to be available for € 256.90.
Finally, a Wi-Fi-only model with the same 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration will also be available for €228.90. Like the XR21, the T21 is likely to be an updated Nokia tablet with features such as a 10.4-inch display, 8,200 mAh battery and pen support.
We can expect the official launch of HMD XR21 and T21 soon. The leak suggests that these will go on sale in early June.
