Designed to complement the Amazfit smartwatch series, the Helio Ring will hit US store shelves on May 15. Customers will be able to purchase the ring separately or together with the Amazfit Cheetah Pro or Amazfit T-Rex Ultra smartwatch.

Given Samsung’s high brand awareness and significant marketing budget, the Galaxy Ring is expected to dominate the market, at least until Apple releases its own equivalent.

However, Amazfit’s early launch strategy aims to gain market share before Samsung’s offering hits the market.
