Nokia hit gold in the feature phone days but lost its edge in the smartphone era. To date, the brand’s dumb phones have been announced by HMD Global. Now the company is said to be working on a new phone that will bring back the 25-year-old model Nokia 3210. Here’s what you need to know.
Nokia recently introduced its new phones such as 215 4G, 225 4G and 235 4G. However, before any official announcement, a new leak appeared on the internet and revealed that the Nokia 3210 (2024) model is also being worked on. For those who don’t know, the original Nokia 3210 was first announced in the late 1990s. It’s not the first time the Finnish brand has brought back old classics.
Thus, the 2024 version of the 3210 will come with modern updates that will make it more viable in the current market. While smartphones are still more popular than feature phones, their proven functionality and affordability make them much more affordable. So they still serve a purpose.
A recent leak from HMD has revealed that the iconic Nokia 3210 comes with updated specs and features, but with a recognizable design. The 2024 edition is notable for a body shape reminiscent of the Nokia 6310, but the front retains the familiar design and button layout of the original Nokia 3210. Classic design takes a new breath. On the front, the screen may be taller than the old model’s 1.5-inch display and possibly have color support.
Based on a recent leak, we know that the upcoming device will feature a single camera with LED flash on the back. It even has Nokia branding and a curved body. There is also an HMD logo at the bottom of the rear panel. A leaked promotional image claimed that the Nokia 3210 (2024) would have a long battery life, just like its predecessor. However, one of the most notable updates includes 4G network support. Bluetooth connection is also verified in this image.
Unfortunately, the company has not yet made an official statement about this device. However, we expect it to be published within this month. It’s worth noting that this is still just speculation, so treat this report with some caution and stay tuned for further updates on the matter.
