Android 15 will be released later this year, but people are already getting excited as the new operating system will bring some interesting features that Android users have been asking for for a long time. I have already covered the top 10 features of Android 15 in this article. Read it after you finish this.
While Android 15 is still a few months away, you’ll want to make sure your device is ready for the next major OS update. Here are Vivo and iQOO devices compatible with the Android 15 update.

This is not a final list as we are still waiting for Vivo to announce the list of devices supporting Android 15. We prepared this list based on the company’s software policy and past presentations.
Unlike Samsung, Google and many other brands, Vivo does not need to maintain software for most of its smartphones. The Chinese brand has so far confirmed support for 3 major operating system updates only for select X series flagship phones released after July 2021. So we had to do a lot of research to come up with the list above. We will continue to update when we receive official information.
If your device is listed, you should get the Android 15 update as soon as Vivo starts rolling out. However, if your Vivo or iQOO device is not on the list, do not despair because Vivo may roll out the new operating system to more devices. Just wait for the official list of Android 15 supported devices.
Android 15 development is in full swing as several developer previews and beta versions have already been released. According to the official calendar, the beta phase will last until June 2024. Around the same time, the stability phase of the platform begins, during which Google fixes bugs to prepare the new operating system for the final version.
There is no official release date for Android 15 yet. However, Google will most likely release a stable version in October. Android 14 was released in the first week of the same month last year.
Once the stable build is released, OEMs add the finishing touches to their skins (Funtouch OS and OriginOS in Vivo’s case) before the public release. This may take from a few days to a few weeks.
If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to join the beta program and discover Android 15 months before the final version. This early access program is primarily for the latest flagship models. Last year, Vivo was one of the first brands to launch the Android 14 beta testing program in May. However, the stable version started to be available in mid-October.
Android 15 will be an exciting update, much better than the previous two versions, Android 13 and Android 14, thanks to the following new features:
Satellite connection support
Android 15 adds support for satellite connectivity. This means you can text your friends even if there’s no cell tower nearby, as long as you have access to open skies. The new operating system supports satellite connectivity for SMS applications and pre-installed RCS applications. So this feature in Android 15 will not be limited to emergencies only.
find my phone network
Find My Phone is getting a pretty big update to the new operating system. All Android 15 phones can ping each other via Bluetooth and work with the network to help someone find a lost device. The part of Find My Network located near the Android device can receive Bluetooth signals from the streaming device and upload encrypted location information to Google servers, which can be decrypted by the owner of the streaming device.
battery health
Android 15 may include the long-requested Battery Health feature. This function reports the remaining battery power, which is an important indicator that can help users replace the battery at the right time. While Google hasn’t confirmed that Battery Health is an upcoming feature in Android 15, we may see it in one of the upcoming betas.
Program archiving
The program archiving function allows you to delete programs while saving user data. So you can pick up where you left off the next time you reinstall the app.
Google already has an app archiving feature through the Google Play Store. This means you can only backup and restore apps via Play Store. However, Android 15 eliminates this limitation, allowing you to archive all applications, including those installed outside the Play Store.
Partial screen sharing
Partial Screen Sharing is a useful and privacy-focused addition added to Android 15 that allows users to share and record a single app instead of the entire screen. So even if you accidentally open a hidden app while showing your screen, you don’t have to worry.
Reload notifications
Android 15 introduced the Notification Delay feature to prevent people from getting overwhelmed by too many notifications from a single app. This feature reduces the volume of consecutive notifications from the same app.
