vivo recently introduced Y200 Pro in the Indian market. Now the base Vivo Y200 has also appeared on the Chinese certification platform. It has revealed the full design and features of the upcoming mid-range smartphone.

Design and features of Vivo Y200

The Chinese-branded Y200 was spotted in the China Telecom database with model number V2343A. When we look at the online listing, we can see the device in multi-storage configuration. This includes 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. According to Chinese certification, the 8GB + 128GB base model may be priced at 1,999 yuan (about $277). Vivo’s upcoming Y200 model will have a screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels.

Out of the box, Vivo Y200 runs Android 14. Optically, you get a dual camera setup on the back consisting of 50-megapixel primary and 2-megapixel secondary cameras. Meanwhile, there is a cutout on the front for the 8-megapixel selfie camera. Powering this device is a hefty 6,000mAh battery that is likely to offer 80W wired fast charging as well. The device is only 7.61 mm thick and weighs 187 grams. This smartphone is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port.

Under the hood, Vivo Y200 may be powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC paired with Adreno 710 GPU. Vivo is set to launch Vivo Y200 5G, Y200t 5G and Y200 GT 5G in China on May 20, 2024. Stay tuned for more as we cover the presentation next week.
