Apple’s iPhone 16 series is scheduled to be released later this year. While the announcement is still months away, a new report has revealed more details about the next-generation flagship iPhone 16 Pro Max. Here are all the details.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max: Has battery life increased significantly?

This was reported by well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. It looks like the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max may offer longer battery life compared to the previous model. However, the brand does not only increase battery capacity. Instead, it is said that a cell with higher energy density will be used to provide longer life while maintaining the same battery size. On the other hand, Apple can also use this technology to maintain a similar battery life but reduce the cell size. However, since no major revisions in the design are planned, we can expect a noticeable increase in battery life thanks to the new battery technology and the new A18 Pro processor.

This could make the iPhone 16 Pro Max lighter and possibly thinner. Kuo added that supply chain research points to an increase in energy density (Whkg) for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Although this density causes the temperature to rise, Apple can handle overheating thanks to the stainless steel battery case. This will be the first time the company has used this material for a battery case.

It is not yet clear which technology Apple plans to use in the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Additionally, the switch to stainless steel meets future EU requirements for replaceable batteries.
