Vivo is all set to launch its latest S series smartphones, the S19 and S19 Pro, on May 30. While official details are still under wraps, a recent leak from insider Digital Chat Station (DCS) has shed light on the key specifications of both phones. On the eve of the launch.
Vivo S19
Starting with the vanilla S19, it will feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a maximum brightness of 4500 nits. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, supported by a powerful 6000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
The S19’s camera system is easier to install with a 50MP GNJ 1/1.56-inch main sensor with OIS for improved low-light performance. This is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a “soft light ring”, a dedicated flash for better close-ups.
Other standard features of the device include infrared sensors, NFC for contactless payments and IP64 dust and water protection.
Vivo S19 Pro
The S19 Pro will also have the same screen size and resolution as the standard model, but it will have a curved panel. MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity will focus on performance with its 9200+ processor.
The S19 Pro will have a slightly smaller 5,500mAh battery but will retain 80W fast charging support. The camera system will include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel IMX816 sensor with OIS for telephoto.
The telephoto lens is said to support 50x digital zoom, and the S19 Pro will also feature a soft light ring on the back. In terms of durability, the S19 Pro will have better IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it resistant to water, high-pressure water jets, and high temperatures.
