Company vivo Introduced a range of smartphones in China Q19. The model range consists of standard and professional models. They come as the successor to the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro that were launched last December. The latest offerings feature a new design and gradual updates. There are a few differences between the S19 and S19 Pro.


Features of Vivo S19 series

Starting with the display, the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 4500 nits peak brightness. Both phones are equipped with fingerprint scanners. The former has a flat panel while the latter has curved edges. In terms of design, there is a pill-shaped island on the back of the S19 duo. It contains a round module at the top and another rectangular module at the bottom. S19 Pro has IP68 and IP69 dust and water protection.

In terms of optics, the Vivo S19 has a dual primary camera consisting of a 50MP OIS primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Meanwhile, the S19 Pro has a triple primary camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS and 50x digital zoom. Both phones are equipped with ring LED flash. Vivo S19 duo is equipped with a 50MP front camera for selfies. The devices can also shoot portraits at up to three focal lengths; The Pro model also offers an 85mm option.

Under the hood, Vivo S19 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which is the same as its predecessor. The S19 Pro also runs on Dimensity 9200+, the same chipset as the S18 Pro. Both phones have up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The S19 duo comes with updated battery packs in standard and pro models that support 6000mAh and 5500mAh cells respectively. Both support 80W wired charging. The smartphones run on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14.

The base 8GB+256GB model of Vivo S19 starts at RMB 2,499 (~$344), while the 12GB+256GB model is priced at RMB 2,699 (~$372). The price of the 12GB+512GB and 16GB+512GB configurations is set at RMB 2,999 (~$413) and RMB 3,299 (~$455), respectively.

The same Vivo S19 Pro configurations mentioned above are priced at RMB 3,299 (~$455), RMB 3,499 (~$482), RMB 3,799 (~$523), and RMB 3,999 (~$551). The S19 duo is offered in blue, grey, peach (standard) and green (Pro) color options.
