reddish released a smartphone series K70 last November, so we can expect the K80 series to be released around the same time this year. We’ve been hearing about possible updates for these new phones for a while now. A report published earlier this week revealed that the Redmi K80 Pro will feature some impressive upgrades, including the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, 2K display and 50MP telephoto lens.
Today’s leak from Digital Chat Station confirms these rumors and adds that the K80 Pro will also support 120W fast charging, which will complement the previously announced 5,500mAh battery. The leak also hints that the phone will have a metal frame and a new coated glass back for a more premium look and feel.
Standard Redmi K80 It does not lag behind in performance either. Initial reports suggest that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which will keep it competitive in the high-end segment.
Both the Pro and standard models are said to have a flat 2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The main difference may be in the camera department; The K80 Pro may feature a dedicated telephoto lens that is not available on the standard K80.
Although launch details have not been confirmed, the Xiaomi 15 series looks set to be the first series in the market to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, which is said to be launched in October. Redmi K80 series is expected to be released in November. The Xiaomi 15 series will likely be an alternative for those looking for a flagship experience without the higher price.
