Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was first introduced in China, in the brand’s domestic market. Now, the new ultra-premium flagship phone has finally entered the Indian market. This model combines top-notch specifications and features in a slim and light design. Here’s everything you need to know about this smartphone.


Vivo X Fold 3 Pro: design and display

The company’s latest foldable phone is billed as the thinnest foldable phone in India. In the folded state, its thickness is only 11.2 mm, and in the open state – 5.2 mm. Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is also very light, weighing 236 grams. This device also has an IPX8 waterproof rating. Vivo has also improved the hinge mechanism, which they claim can withstand 100 bends every day for 12 years.

The main display is a tall 8.03-inch E7 AMOLED display that supports LTPO technology, 2K+ resolution, 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision, UTG glass, and peak brightness up to 4500 nits. At the same time, the cover display features a 6.53-inch LTPO AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, armored glass, Dolby Vision, and up to 4500 nits peak brightness.

Features

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro comes as the latest flagship device in India and packs top-notch features like Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. This chip is paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. This device is powered by a powerful 5,700mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging, 50W fast wireless charging, and fast reverse wireless charging.

In terms of optics, this model has a 50-megapixel main camera (OV50H sensor) on the back that supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and Zeiss T* coating. This main sensor is also powered by the V3 imaging chip. It is paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens (Samsung JN1) and a 64-megapixel (OV64B) telephoto lens. There’s a 32-megapixel trigger on the main and secondary screens for selfies and video calls.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro runs on Android 14 based on custom Funtouch OS 14 skin. Other notable features include in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.4 LE, dual-band Wi-Fi, 5G SA/NSA and dual SIM support.

Pricing and Availability

Vivo has announced the X Fold 3 Pro in the Indian market with a hefty price tag of INR 159,999 (approximately USD 1,917) for the single 16GB + 512GB model. This puts it in the category of ultra-premium flagships like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. It comes in one color which is Celestial Black. The new foldable phone can be purchased from the brand’s official web store, Amazon, Flipkart and offline channels.

The first sales will start on June 13, 2024, and pre-orders for the device will be available today (June 6, 2024). Vivo is also selling a 50W wireless fast charger for INR 5,599, which will be available via Vivo India eStore and offline stores on June 17, 2024.
