Honor does not stop. After introducing the new Honor 200 and Magic6 series, the Chinese company launched its first clamshell folding product: Honor Spell V Conversion. Like many other smartphones in this category, the Magic V Flip offers us an internal display that folds inwards and a generous external display with which we can interact with the device without opening it.

If there’s one thing that characterizes Honor’s latest foldable models, it’s their thickness. The Chinese company can boast of some of the thinnest foldable devices on the market, and the new Magic V Flip would be no less: The terminal has a thickness of 7.15 millimeters when open and 14.89 millimeters when folded. The inner screen, which is foldable and which we will use when the mobile phone is on, is a 6.8 inch LTPO OLED panel with FullHD + resolution. It reaches a 120 Hz refresh rate, is compatible with Dolby Vision, and its PWM reaches 3,840 Hz. The hinge uses the same protective steel we saw on the Honor Magic Vs, adding an ultra-thin “aerospace-grade” steel plate to increase resistance. . However, Honor did not give floor figures.

The operating system is Android 14 and runs under MagicOS 8.0, which is Honor tier. The company has made some changes to optimize it for the folding format and, for example, allow the camera to be used when the mobile phone is folded.
