Samsung has so far released flagship smartphones based on single-chip Qualcomm Snapdragon systems and its own Exynos family platforms, but next year the story will be rewritten. Several sources have confirmed that the South Korean company is discussing the use of single-chip MediaTek systems for its future flagships, with the Galaxy S23 being the manufacturer’s first flagship to receive a mobile platform.

But not all devices in the Galaxy S23 series will have a new flagship single-chip MediaTek system under the hood. Samsung will only use them for Asian models. In addition, there are reports that about half of the Galaxy S22 Fan Edition (FE) devices will be built on chips from Taiwanese company MediaTek.

It is currently unclear which MediaTek chips Samsung will use for these smartphones, but it is worth noting that Samsung has previously used SoC MediaTek for budget smartphones. Source
